Dr. Traci Grandfield of Back In Balance is originally from Wichita, Kansas. She began her studies at University of Kansas with the intention to help people achieve and maintain the best quality of life they can have.
After completing a pre medicine and psychology curriculum she directed her studies to a chiropractic perspective of strengthening the body by facilitating innate function.
After graduating from University of Kansas, Dr. Grandfield attended Life Chiropractic College West to focus on the spine and the nervous system and their role in ultimate health.
She discovered that one specific adjustment to the top bone in the neck, known as the atlas, restored balance and function throughout the body. The atlas adjustment facilitated the rest of the body including the lower back, the knees, hormones and every system in the body back into balance.
This powerful adjustment utilizing the technique called NUCCA (National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association) is efficient, very precise, gentle and has significant, measurable results.
Dr. Grandfield is now a Level I NUCCA Board Certification holder and is the only female chiropractor who serves Redmond, Bellevue and Seattle’s Eastside with NUCCA chiropractic care.
“Before coming to Back In Balance, I had lower back pain, shoulder and neck pain. Felt like I had ‘Rice Krispies’ in my lower neck. My results have been less neck pain and less shoulder pain. I noticed I wasn’t getting headaches as frequently. I no longer have to worry about neck and back pain. I also noticed better posture at work and ability to focus better.” — Thomas W.
Traci Says, “Some of the best days are the ones when I get to offer my patients with fibromyalgia days that aren’t full of fatigue and pain all over her body; or when an autistic 4 year old makes eye contact and his mom reports that he is moving towards being in normal classrooms; or when my patient with multiple sclerosis reports that he has improved mobility, a stronger voice and clearer thinking; or when my patient with daily migraines says she hasn’t had one in weeks.
My promise to my patients is that I will always be straight forward about their care. I’ll help to look to pinpoint the cause of the problem and work with them to create a plan for correction leading to a better balanced, quality of life.
My goal is not only to correct the cause but also to restore strength, stability and energy. The idea is not to just treat symptoms but to eliminate the cause. I work for long lasting results.”
After the atlas adjustment, it is necessary to focus on ways to facilitate the maintenance of wellness. Dr. Grandfield incorporates into her care exercises and stretches that are beneficial to accelerated recovery and balance. With these tools and a plan to improve quality of life, she has joined the team at Back In Balance.
Traci says, “We are building a platform for healing as well as proactive health care. My commitment to my patients is to offer excellent and thoughtful care without compromise. I love changing people’s perspective of what is possible for them. I love giving people a second chance at feeling well and doing the things they love to do; that maybe they had to stop doing because of pain or weakness.”
